I have a second grader who is reads CVC words quite well, but has trouble spelling.
I just have my son complete two pages of puzzles a day. He cuts them out and then glues them onto a piece of construction paper. You could also laminate them and store them in an envelope. This is a perfect activity for centers or quite time activities.
There are a total of 40 candy corn puzzles that will help your student master the CVC words, as well, as help in scissor cutting.
Be sure check out the big ol’ list of candy corn resources!
