Meditating on Scripture verses during the homeschool day has saved me many times from despair or should I say losing my mind.
I only know too well the feeling of despair during a homeschool day!
There has been so many times in our homeschool journey that I felt inadequate.
Tired.
Irritated.
Helpless.
I can’t tell you how many times I drove by the public school wanting to drop off my oldest off during the first year we attempted this insane calling.
I call it insane because really it is insane to think I can adequately train my children for Him.
Me?
I think I missed the year when they taught Geography and Biology in my high school.
It took me at least 4 years to realize….
I can’t do this homeschool thing successfully!
Or at least I can’t succeed by myself.
But I can and will with His help and guidance.
Until I finally came to this humble conclusion, I was a failure as a homeschool parent.
Please don’t get me wrong, I still have days when I want to put my children on the yellow school bus the next morning, but they are far and few between the most precious days of educating my children at home.
I now accept it as a blessing and not the curse of the failure of the public school system.
I created these printable scripture cards with you in mind.
Print them and put them everywhere….
- in your bathroom
- in the kitchen
- on the refrigerator
- on your calendar
- in the car
- on your dry erase board
- on your nightstand
- on your bathroom mirror
- in the laundry room
- in your homeschool planner
- on your child’s forehead – kidding, but the thought has crossed my mind!
I want you to know you are not alone in this homeschooling journey unless you choose to be.
He never intended us to do it alone.
I encourage you to give this homeschool adventure completely to Him.
He will guide you every step of the way.
Consult with Him…He is known as the greatest teacher.
I encourage you to share these scripture verses with anyone who needs hope for the homeshcool mom.
Check out… If homeschooling is really for us?
