This week at Time Travel Tuesday hosted by Annie, she asked “Do we have a favorite vacation or vacation memory ?” I have been on many vacations as a child but not so many as an adult. I remember vividly going to Ocean Beach, NJ with my parents, sister, grandparents, and Great Aunt. We vacationed there for 3 weeks every summer. Out last trip there was in the early eighties. I have no idea what it looks like now. However, I did find an old postcard which brought back many memories.

This Postcard is exactly what I remembered the beach looking like. I have many fond memories of surfing the waves with my boogie board, building sand castles, playing at the bay on the jungle gym equipment, riding bikes to the beach, going to the boardwalk, flying kites in the evening on the beach, fishing/crabbing in the bay, minature golfing, and my favorite one is when my grandfather would walk to the bakery every morning to buy my sister and I black & white cake cookies. YUMMY!!!
