I am always attracted to products that are created uniquely by homeschool families. I admire families that work together for the good of others.
Our family has been having so much FUN with these music songs for children. They are entertaining and educational.
Songs for God’s Children CD is developed by music educators to encourage brain growth and music aptitude. It exposes your family to genuine multi-cultural experiences with musicians from all around the world.
The heart behind Songs for God’s Children according to their website.
Research is showing that the historical shift from family music making to consumed pre-packaged music is limiting the musical development of our children. Our music is dominated with quality, natural, acoustic musicians, and natural, relaxed voices. Men, women, teens and children of various ages encourage children and parents to sing along and participate.
The first time I put on the CD for our family, we were actually supposed to be cleaning, but cleaning is always much more FUN with music, right?
When I walked back into the living/school room my daughter was mesmerized and listening so intently to the music for children. I quietly snapped a picture and I let her finish enjoying the variety of rhythms and lyrics.
She sat in that rocking chair for the entire length of the CD. I was truly amazed with her interest. The girl is 4 and can’t seem to sit in one place for more than 2 minutes. When the music for children was over, she asked for me to play it again. Of course, I hit play a second time.
The next thing I heard, a few minutes later, were my 3 younger children all dancing to the Songs for God’s Children CD. My children were actually moving to the beat and changed their dance styles according to the culture and rhythm of the music. I don’t know about you, but seeing my children dance and express themselves makes me smile. I’m not sure who was enjoying the moment more, me or the children. You can read more about the numerous benefits of these FUN music songs for children. You will be impressed.
Just the insert of the Songs for God’s Children has a wealth of information. It briefly explains what type of culture and a little bit of history about the songs. It makes it very easy to discuss with young children.
The Songs for God’s Children CD is a new favorite for our family. The children enjoy listening to it during the afternoons while drawing and painting. It’s always a popular request in the car.
It’s a perfect gift for any family with children between the ages 0-8. They have a discount if you purchase numerous CD’s for churches and homeschool co-ops. My 9 year-old even thinks it’s FUN.

- Paa, Tuhod, Balikat, Ulo provides a taste of the Songs for God’s Children CD. This popular nursery song from the Philippines reflects the European influences of Europe and Spain on the Asian Islands. We include Spanish inspired percussion and some contemporary piano to pull all the elements together.
- Bumblebee is an original spoken rhyme presenting unusual meter. While most of our songs are traditional, folk songs, or children’s classics, we will compose songs to fulfill important educational needs for our listeners. This playful example introduces an unusual meter. Research indicates that this is important for helping children know and understand all meters.
- Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho We love using African-American Spirituals like this. This song presents a minor tonality in an upbeat song which makes it easy to move and groove. What a great way to celebrate that with God all things are possible!

I’m not a user of ctc math, but from what I’ve seen of it, it looks to be both comprehensive and taught in a clear and concise way.
I think my daughter would like the song “Popcorn”. What interests me about CTC Math, is that it would allow my son to learn at his own pace.
I think my grandson would like any of the songs sung by children.
As for the math program, we aren’t quite there yet but now that I’m aware, plan to check it out.
