4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Chapter 4 in the book of Philippians was our weekly message yesterday.  Ouch!  It hit home yesterday.  For the past month we have been dealing with a lot of “Stuff.”  From finding out our insurance has not been active since April all the way from my dh employer not paying him for the last 2 pay periods.  And when he does get paid it has been late.  Long story.  To be honest, I am more angry than anxious or worried about the situation.  Anger has set in my mind and I have acted poorly.  Another words, I have a bad attitude.  Just maybe I can blame it on the pregnancy.  NOT!  Once again, my chosen attitude has not been the Godly one.   I certainly haven’t been rejoicing in the Lord.  We as Christians need to deal with our situations from another view.  Not from a secular lens.  As hard as it may be, we must show others that God is in control and we need to concentrate on the positives rather than the negatives.  What a better world this place would be if we all practice Paul’s written words coming straight from the Holy One.
