He realized that it would be best for him to actually attend the courses on campus rather than online. Also, he is applying for a part time job, and the profile encouraged him to seek more of a physical position rather than an administrative type at this time.
Next, my 5th grader took the Self-Portrait™ Learning Style Profile by himself. I prompted him with the initial questions and he easily completed the profile without assistance from me. He is one that must come home from school and complete his homework on his bed with absolute quiet. This makes the evening go much smoother for all of us. Homework must be completed before he watches TV or plays on his computer.

I think this product could be beneficial to help me in teaching my children at home. I already have an idea as to our learning styles, but a new perspective and some helpful advice would be good to have.

By finding the style your child learns best in will help them retain the information that is needed for life success. It will also cut out the frustration for the me and my daughters if I had the right tools for them to learn and feel successful.
My husband and our son, both have ADD. I think it would be a tremendous help to see how they could learn best and to know if I, as homeschool mom, am doing the best I can for our son’s learning environment. Our youngest daughter may also have ADD. Our oldest just graduated from homeschool high school; and before she starts classes at our local community college, it would be nice for her to know as well. Learning styles go along way to reaching the learner. And learning styles change as the learner grows. I’m always in search of a good tool to assess my kids’ learning. With very active kids, I’m always on the lookout on how to present information in a way that they will hang on to it.
I’d love to try this out so I know how to teach each of my kids. I homeschool, and they’re all very different.
