I promised my kiddos that I would have something fun for them to play with when they came home from school. I put my thinking cap on and decided to make some fun DIY Minions Slime.
I am a big slime person myself. It’s feels so good to run my fingers through it. It’s simply relaxing to me. My kids love to play with it, too. We make slime for a lot of different occasions. My daughter loves her Princess Slime.
It’s so easy, and it’s life is extended as long as you store it in a zip-locked baggie.
I used yellow and blue food coloring and googly eyes in the slime to make it Minions style. Of course, you can make it any color you prefer, but we are all about Minions in our home right now.
How to Make DIY Minions Slime
Supplies Needed
- 1 cup of glue, white
- 1/2 c of Liquid Starch
- 1/2 c of Water
- Food Coloring, yellow or blue
- Googly eyes, medium
Fill a small bowl with 1 c of glue and 1/2 c of water. Mix well with a spoon. Next, add food coloring. I used 12 drops for the blue and yellow to make the colors vibrant. Mix Well. In a medium bowl, add 1/2 c of liquid starch(shake well before use), slowly add the water and glue mixture and mix with a spoon. After it starts to form, add google eyes. Mix with hands until a slime consistency forms.
You can play with the slime immediately, but it thickens with time. Always store in a ziplock baggie for later play use.
I’ve played with several different recipes, and this one works the best for us. It’s important to shake the liquid starch in order for the best slime consistency before pouring it into the bowl. It really does make a difference.
