Fall is finally here! It’s my absolute favorite season. The brown, red, orange, and yellow leaves are slowly turning and making the scenery breathtaking. It’s when the weather finally is at a tolerable temperature here in the Lone Star state.
It’s simply exciting to me to decorate my home in harvest decor and burn my favorite fall scents. It’s also that time of year when I enjoy soaking in the hot tub in the evenings before I go to bed. My skin is a bit sensitive, so I have to be very careful with certain bath products.
My daughter and I decided to celebrate the fall season with an Apple Pie Sugar Scrub Recipe.
I have five sons who couldn’t careless about making a DIY Apple Pie Body Scrub with me, but my only daughter was thrilled.
We are addicted to making our own DIY sugar scrubs especially during the holidays.
I have to admit!
This DIY Apple Pie Body Scrub is the bomb! It’s simply divine soaking in the hot bath with the aroma of cinnamon apple pie. It is truly festive for this time of year. My skin feels amazingly soft afterwards due to the small amount of olive oil.
How to make DIY Apple Pie Body Scrub
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
or olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
- Sprinkle of cinnamon
Directions
- Mix the brown sugar and sugar in a medium bowl.
- Next, stir in the coconut oil
or olive oil
.
- Add applesauce and stir well with a wooden spoon.
- Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon.
- Place in mason jar or glass container.
TIPS: If using coconut oil, melt it the microwave until a liquid. I store my apple pie body scrub in a mason jar in my shower.
It makes fabulous little gifts for teachers, friends, or family. I enjoy making small token gifts for others to show my appreciation towards them. I usually place a festive ribbon around the neck of the mason jar.

I wish I could say I have a favorite but I have never tried any swiffer product. I really need to look into getting something,being the mother of 4 boys,there is always some mess needing cleaned.
The Swiffer dusters really help save time and help with my allergies because less dust flies around when I’m cleaning.

Since it has food in it, will it get moldy? I don’t use scrubs a lot, so one recipe would last me awhile…also since you keep it in a mason jar in the shower, does the lid ever corrode some ormget rusty from the moist environment?

I love the swifter duster. That way all the dust isn’t flying around in the air and I do not have to spray those awful smelling dusting sprays. Such a cleaner way to dust. It makes my least favorite job easier!

I love my Swiffer wet jet, I have 2 dogs, 1 cat, 2 kids and a very messy husband bless his heart. So my Swiffer gets a workout and it makes my job of keeping the house cleans little easier because I also work 2 jobs. So another Swiffer product would be greatly appreciated
My extendable duster and handheld swiffer dusters are my favorites. They reach EVERYWHERE and really do trap dust (and cobwebs).

Swiffer dusters are the best for ceiling fans and EVERYWHERE! I couldn’t go a couple of days without my wet jet. The sweep and vac would be great for my preschool classroom!

It would allow them to lbuild good cleaning habits for their future and learning the value of helping and blessing others.
