Time Travel Tuesday is about one of the saddest days of my life. Annie has asked us…..
Do you remember your first day of school?
Maybe your first child’s first day of school was a memorable day.
Did you cry? Did they?
When my ds went to Kindergarten the first day, I was crying or should I say wailing! It wasn’t a whimper it was almost a hysterical outburst. My dh was so embarrassed. I shouted “He is going to go to college soon.” In fact, it was such an ordeal in my book that my parents who live 4 hours away stayed for the occasion.
Now, that we homeschool, I have tears of high stress anxiety due to surviving 5 almost-perfect boys at home all day, everyday. LOL! I wouldn’t trade my days with the boys for nothing. Well, maybe just one day of potty breaks without interruptions!
PS ~ No, my ds never looked back! No tears from him!!!
Aw! sweet post.
Great post! The “first” day is always the hardest!
Oh, that was such a cute post! I cried yesterday after my 12 year-old Zach left for his first day of junior high…boo hoo! đ
I really admire moms who home school! đ
awwwwwwww… I only cried once when the kids went to school and that was when Sweet Pea(who is my shy mamas girl who is 5 now) Started her 1st day of preschool and she was crying. The 2nd time was Last year when my 1st baby Princess was starting her 1st day in the 5th grade in our town 5th grade is no longer elementary The 5th and 6th graders of our town leave there elementary schools to combined to make the 5th and 6th grade school and it is run like the Jr High. I sort of had tears thinking that my baby was no longer in elementary school.
Very cute story, thanks for sharing!
funny! I don’t even want to think about my 19month old daughter starting school!
What a sweet story! I homeschool 2 boys too. I look forward to getting to know you better through your blog.
I love home schooling…and with two in college and our baby turning 17 next month, your crying about college is all too real…it really does fly by so quickly!
