I fell in love with Marie-Madeline Studio products the moment I clicked on their website. I was attracted to their vibrant, fun fabric that I knew I had to share with all of you.
If you love to sew or quilt, you will adore Marie-Madeline Studio. This is a warning! (: The Long Sisters have adorable boutique items, as well.
They have patterns, bags, ladies’ apparel, girls’ apparel, aprons, and much more that you can browse on their website.
Marie-Madeline recommended that I select one of their easier patterns to review since I am considered a beginner sewer. Since I love wearing an apron in the kitchen, I chose the Chic Sister Apron pattern.
Next, which was the most difficult task of this entire review was to pick a fabric and one to contrast. Do you know how hard this was? It literally took me a few days to decide. I finally chose from the Ooh La la fabric line.
Marie-Madeline Studio high-quality designer fabrics make lovely quilts, bags, aprons, clothing, and more! The fabric is all 100% cotton quilting weight fabrics, 44/45″ wide (unless otherwise noted). The fabric is sold in half yard quantities.
Free swatches available upon request! Just email the Long Sisters and they will happily respond. They were very gracious and sweet to correspond with. They were a joy to work with.
I washed and pressed my fabric like suggested before I began my project.
I had so much fun making my “adorable” apron. Yes, I am boasting because I actually made something that looks cute!
My son was away at my parents when I made it. When I was wearing it, he asked me who bought me that apron. Ha!
My favorite part of the apron is the flounce. It just makes the apron so femine along with the waist band.
Next time, I will definitely make the medium instead of the large. As you can see, it’s a bit too big for me. But it’s still cute!
Also, make sure you trace your pattern before cutting or you will lose your instructions. I made the mistake and had to tape it back together and photo copy the instructions. It was another one of my rookie sewing mistakes that I won’t be making again!
I learned several new sewing techniques while working this pattern. I have never had any formal sewing instructions and had no idea about darts. It’s a great beginner pattern. It’s was a bit challenging for me, but I managed.
Now for the most exciting part!
Marie-Madeline has graciously offered one of my readers a Chic Sisters Apron pattern and the the fabric to make one of these adorable, feminine aprons for yourself. Believe me you will want to keep it for yourself and then make several for gifts.
I will choose a winner on June 25 at 12am. Complete the Rafflecopter to be entered! Have fun!

Nice giveaway! Thanks for the chance! I’d love some Annie’s Farm Stand fabric. 🙂
That is a gorgeous apron! How fun!!! I love the bright, cheery colors and just like you, I love the flouncy ruffle. I really love that you made it yourself.
Just so you know, I prefer that people not link giveaways, as that’s not really the intention of the meme and I fear that it would eventually be overrun with giveaways and nothing else, lol!
However, it’s fine this time and it’s such a cute apron and we all could use a cute apron when we’re making our home sing, right?! Thanks so much for linking up and sharing!
You look so cute in your apron! I love to sew but don’t much anymore! Very nice post, and I’m sorry I missed the giveaway!
