Adding Stick figures to our daily homeschooling has sparked an interest in our home while engaging in the homeschool product review, Old Testament Overview – Beginner Student and Teacher ebook.
Grapevine Studies offers a simple, but creative array of both New and Old Testament Bible studies for all ages ranging from Pre-K to adult. The easy, ‘Stick Figuring Through The Bible,’ approach allows for a multi-sensory learning experience that gives students of all ages methods to grasp and retain God’s Word in their hearts.
The Beginner Book Series is designed for children 5 – 7 years of age, however, my 2 year old was quite the artist and listened to the Bible lesson attentively along with her brothers.
How it worked for our Family
The Old Testament Overview teacher guide is simple to understand and leaves the teacher little to no prep time.
We started each lesson with a prayer and read the scripture passages. I encouraged my sons to try to find it in their own Bibles and I helped them when needed. I also introduced the memory verse at that time.
I already had on hand the recommended teaching supplies:
- Bible
- Dry erase board
- Dry Erase markers
- Colored pencils/crayons – occasionally I will let them use water colors
- Lessons pages for each student/teacher – Easily printable from pdf
- Bible Dictionary – we used a children’s version
We orally discussed the section review before moving on to the next lesson. Also, there is a final review designed to ensure your child has mastered the objective and goals for each lesson.
The Results After Using Grapevine Studies
My 2 year old told us that God made everything when looking at the stars a few evenings after we completed the Creation lesson.
My 5 year continues to draw stick figures of numerous different bible stories that he knows and teaches his little sister.

Esther!
all of them! I have a few of the free ones and love them!
The Esther curriculum looks very interesting!
They all look fantastic, but I think Ruth would be my first choice.
All of their studies peak my interest. I’ve been looking at them ever since The 2:1 Conference. I’d love to try them out!
I think the study of Esther would be a good lesson. As far as my knowledge is Esther is the only book in the Bible that doesn’t refer to God once.
I like the Resurrection study the best
I have been lookimg at this exact one for a few days.
I’d like to see Beginner Birth of Jesus (student)
This looks so cool! I think my kids would love using this. 🙂
The resurrection study looks interesting.
Thanks for sharing HOW you use this Bible study with your kids. Great ideas and love how the littlest one is learning so much too:)
All of them! I have been looking at these for quite awhile.
Oh yes, and I think the Biblical Feasts study looks really interesting!
This looks like a neat way to learn about the Bible! 🙂
The Resurrection Study or maybe the birth of Jesus. Any really lol. 🙂
They all look interesting!
I would like to try the Old & New Testaments ones first. I have a friend that did it with her children & she loved it. 🙂
The study of Esther!
All of them… They look like so much fun. I love the story of Esther, we are studying creation (and the free sample looks really cute)..
I saw several Grapevine studies that I would be interested in using with my daughter. The Old Testament series would complement our Bible and History studies this year. I am also interested in the Birth of Jesus and Resurrection Grapevine studies. I would prefer the series for ages 5-7. Thank you for posting this giveaway.
God bless,

The fact that it is stick figures….because I CAN’T draw at all!!
I would prefer an overview lesson book, but my daughter would like the Esther one.
I would love an overview and then from there we can dive into specific books. My kids would love to use this.
I’d choose Level 3 Jordan River to the Temple.
Any of the Beginner series!
I love the overviews
The old testament overview looks perfect for our school year.
The one that most interests me is the one offered, we have a 1st grader. We are starting with Genesis for history and this will work perfect.
I would like any of the beginner books:)
I have been considering the study of Esther because my girls are into princess everything!
I would love to try both the New & Old Testament Overview books for beginners.
Thanks for doing this.
i would like to try out the New Testament~
I would love to try this for my 6 year old! It looks like a wonderful tool to teach them about God’s Word! Thank you for such an offer!
I think the Biblical Feasts study looks interesting! I bet I’d learn a lot alongside my kids 😉
Thanks for the review. I read another rave review and am even more convinced that our family will use this in the near future.
