This is another one of my favorite snack recipes to make for our family and friends. Everyone loves these spicy crackers.
It’s the second recipe that made me famous.
These easy seasoned saltines crackers are very inexpensive to make and definitely the easiest! No baking required! I like to use saltine crackers instead of oyster crackers. You don’t even have to put on your beloved apron.
They are perfect for potlucks, picnics, and snacks. Be sneaky because I have to hide them when I make them because my family will gobble the whole batch up in one sitting.
How to make No-Bake Seasoned Crackers
Ingredients
1 box of saltines crackers (I use the off brands)
1 c of Canola Oil (I’ve tried other oils and it just doesn’t come out as good)
1 package of dry Ranch dressing packet (I love to use Hidden Valley Fiesta or Spicy Ranch seasoning)
2T crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
Open the box of crackers, place all crackers in a gallon zip lock bag. Pour oil in a small bowl, mix ranch dressing, and red pepper, stir well. Pour the oil mixture into the bag of crackers, Shake and toss vigorously. Shake several times over a 24 hour period. All the oil will be soaked up in the crackers. Use the zi[ locked bag for storage. Enjoy the savory treat in every bite!
Yes, it truly is that easy! They are truly amazing and addicting.

Oh my, these crackers are addictively yummy! Goes great with chicken salad or soup! 🙂
Try using taco seasoning. I do that with cheese crackers
A WHOLE box or a pack out of the box? Thanks darlin!
The whole box. Enjoy!
These are delicious! Popcorn oil works very well in this recipe too.
This is GREAT!! I made in the morning for my co-workers and they ate it all up! Wanted more…
When you make them for your family, you need to make them spicy so the kids won’t eat them all up. lol!
Don’t they get soggy. Do you male them just before serving?
No, they do not get soggy at all. I usually make them 24 hours in advance.
I tasted these at a Christmas party and omg I couldn’t stop eating them. I bet they’d be good with shrimp dip.
Hi Melissa,
Oh my! That would taste wonderful together. Thanks for the tip.
Jill
I came across the recipe and decided to try it. My family fell in love with them and we have made them several times now. Awesome with buffalo ranch chicken dip!
Oh YUM!
I make these with the waverly wafer type crackers. Love them!
Can’t wait to taste. Sounds wonderful, similar to a pretzel recipe I have.
Can these crackers be made ahead of time for Christmas?
Yes, but they are crackers so they will eventually go stale.
Mixed some butter in with oil, and some Italian seasoning….along with the ranch. You have to whisk oil and melted butter for even distribution, but everyone loved the added flavor
Do you bake them?
Disregard, sorry. I see now it says no bake, lol!
