Submission is longing after God and voluntarily allowing Him to have control of my entire life.  I must develop the discipline of submission by placing all my dreams, wants, and desires before God, who then is free to bless me with the desires of my heart.

In James 1:5, he tells us how we can gain wisdom to be submissive to our God, husbands, and authorities.  However, we must ask Him and he will deliver the wisdom as we need it.

James 3:14-17 describes and states that the wisdom that comes from heaven is pure, peace loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy, and good fruit, impartial and sincere.  Some tough words, huh!

One verse that lies heavy on my heart is Pro 1:7.  This is an excellent memory verse for the family and our homeschool.  True wisdom comes from the fear of the Lord.

Dear Heavenly Father:

Please help me to learn to be submissive in your eyes.  Help me to be submissive to my husband and authorities with a cheerful heart.  Guide me in my journey and thank you for loving the undeserving me.  May your grace be completely sufficient in my heart.

Amen
