As most of you know, we are blessed with an abundant amount of chickens eggs. We are celebrating Easter at our house this year with my parents and my sister and her family. I do not do the ham thing, so we are having brisket instead. I have planned on making the traditional deviled eggs, but when I saw these festive Easter deviled eggs, I got excited.
I want to share my Hard Boiled Egg trick. We eat hard boiled eggs weekly and I have tried every trick imaginable. And I know how frustrating it can be to peel an ornery egg. These steps have yet failed me, but you must follow all of them to the “T.”
- Use older eggs that have been in the refrigerator for at least 2 weeks (the longer the better)
- Submerge the eggs in water in a pot.
- Throw in a ton of salt in the water(I buy the cheap stuff)
- Boil for 15 minutes
- Immediately put eggs in ice cold water until cooled.
(Thank you, Foodjimoto for the great tutorial and pictures)
