One of my favorite breakfast foods is Sausage Squares! They are so easy to whip up and are quite tasty.
My gang loves eating breakfast for supper. Since becoming a single mom, I like to be able to make meals to freeze on the weekends to just reheat on the weekdays. This works perfectly for us. I usually double the recipe and freeze one of them. We just reheat up the sausage squares in the oven when we are wanting to have breakfast for supper.
How to Make Sausage Squares
Ingredients
- 2 c of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 lb of ground sausage, browned
- 2-3 eggs, beaten
- 1 c of biscuit baking mix
- 1 c of milk
Directions
Place cheddar cheese in a greased 8×8 baking dish. Next, sprinkle browned sausage on top of cheese. Mix eggs, baking mix and milk together and pour over sausage. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until golden brown on top. Cut into squares.
Makes 9 squares.
I usually serve these sausage squares with hard boiled eggs and fruit salad.
Simple enough, huh?
