Being a single mom has definitely come with its ups and downs. Some days, I think I got this mom thing down, and other days….I’m almost in tears.
I remember, I often felt like a rusty old roller coaster when my children all were small and I was a wife; stay-at-home moms often feel lonely and isolated during the day. Now that my children are older, I still get in a frenzy, but for different circumstances.
Teenage years are the worst! Yikes, and I have 3 of them.
You have no idea how my mood could change in a matter of minutes when somebody encouraged me on my motherhood journey when I was having one of those hairy days.
It only takes a minute to give a loved one a word of affirmation or encouragement. It immediately puts a smile on that loved one’s face when they realize someone other than God understands what they are dealing with at that particular moment.
We all have good and bad days, so why not join me in being an encouragement to at least one person per day for the next 30 days.
