when it comes to your parenting?
Often when I share my thoughts on my FAITH, it’s because I am struggling in a particular area or I have in the past.
This verse is one of the hardest verses for me to take to heart when it comes to parenting.
Like most parents, I want great things for my children.
You know…college education, financially stable job, nice house, a beautiful family, etc.
And I am not saying there is anything wrong with any of the above, don’t cut me short.
BUT…
I train my children to believe in the Holy Scripture, and yet, I claim to to believe it myself, but I had to stop and think this morning.
Are they His plans or mine?
May my children walk by FAITH and not by my dreams.
May they follow His calling and not mine.
Do you struggle with your GREAT plans for your children?

Heartfelt…I need to copy down that verse…somewhere where I can see it a lot…sometimes I really have to take that step back to let my kiddo really show what he wants to do-not me….it’s actually similar to my post going up tomorrow for my Faithfully Parenting Fridays first linky party–if you would love, I’d love to have you link this piece up. 🙂 Blessings, Michy
I would love to link up tomorrow, Michy! Thanks for the invite.
A great reminder for all parents! Our children belonged to Him before they belonged to us. He knows them better than we ever will, so we have to raise them on faith in His plan for them.
Thanks for linking up with SAST!
Great question! I can’t live vicariously through my children…I need to leave them to the Lord, for them to walk in HIS will for their lives and not MINE. Thanks for the reminder! And thanks for linking this post up this week!
