Homeschoolopoly is a FUN twist to one of our family’s favorite board games on Family Night!
It’s a fantastically FUN and educational homeschool game that will make your family nights exceptional!
It’s fun to purchase properties known as REAL homeschool curriculum companies, such as, Rainbow Resource Center and Rosetta Stone. You must try to amass your treasure – a word that originates from the Greek word thesaurus meaning “a treasure of words”.
Houses and Hotels have been replaced with Stacks of Books and Keys to knowledge; Chance and Community Chest are now Grace and Mercy tokens.
All money required to be paid other than rent and purchase price of properties is placed in the center of the board and is called FIELD TRIP instead of FREE PARKING in the classic version.
The recommended ages for Homeschoolopoly are 8 to adult, however, since homeschoolers tend to be a bit advanced, ages may vary. You can have up to 6 players.

How it works for us
We love games at our house! Homeschoolopoly is one of those entertaining games that teaches skills while having fun. We usually play the shorter version with the younger children due to their shorter attention span. My 8 year old loves to read the cards and count his own money. This is so beneficial to him. He is also learning to discern with his money. He tends to be a bit of a cheap skate. It took a couple of times for him to get the hang of it but he caught on quickly.
My 5 year old enjoys playing along with us, but needs some extra help. He is not fully reading yet, but loves to be the Homeschoolopoly police. Don’t think for a minute that you can land on a Stack of Books or Keys of Knowledge without paying rent. Also, he is learning to add by counting the dice.
My older boys play frequently in the afternoons after their school and chores are completed. They are HUGE monopoly fans, so this game is a total blast for them. They prefer the longer version because they are very strategic and they play for blood. They are a bit competitive! lol!
This game is a HUGE hit in our home. Anyone who homeschools will appreciate the homeschool lingo and inside homeschool jokes. The designers are veteran homeschoolers themselves which explains the humor and creativity in this FUN game.
It makes a perfect Family Christmas present.

Not regularly, but we’re trying!
UNO!
Not on a regular schedule but we have them as often as possible! We love eating together, playing games, and more!
would love to win this!~
We used to! But my husband went back to school . . . so we stopped and having a relevant game would be great!
Not really regularly but we are working on changing it.
Since the baby has come and the hubby works night shift we have stopped for awhile. But would love to start up again.
Not as regularly as I would like….
Unfortunately not yet on a regular basis
Not on a specific night, but we take advantage of every time we are all together.
Yes, every Thursday is a Family Game Night!
unfortunately we don’t have them very often. I want to change this for the new year!
No
We try to have family nights each week 🙂
No, not regularly.
We have pizza and movie night every saturday night.
We have a movie night every Friday, but we’re working on adding some different family nights in
Friday nights around here are pizza and movie or game night.
No but it is on my list for next year 1/wk
Unfortunately, we do not.
We occasionally have family night. It’s always so much fun, I wonder why we don’t do it more!
This looks so neat!!
We have occasional family game nights
We have Family Night every Friday. Our daughter never lets us forget about it. She loves playing Monopoly, Life, Uno, and Spot It.
We don’t get many family nights anymore since the oldest 2 have part time jobs, but when we do have a chance to have a family night, it’s pretty special.
Not on a regular basis but we need too!
We used to have family nights, but we have gotten lazy. Need to get back into the habit.
We used to have family game nights but have gotten out of the habit…looks like we need to get started again with some good old fashion family fun!
Not nights, no. The love of my life works nights. We get together in the morning once a week together specifically to do things like color and be together though. We get together ~ mornings a week to eat breakfast together and lunch.
My younger kids are just starting to really enjoy board games – always looking for great additions to our collection!
There is a five year age difference between the kiddos, so finding games we can all play together is difficult. Our youngest is just starting to express interest in playing games and he has actually done quite well! I am looking forward to implementing a Family game night in the near future!
We haven’t set up a certain night for Family Night. We’ll do it periodically, but I need to get us into this more regularly. Friday nights are Movie Night, but that is generally the kids watching while I clean the kitchen or some other task.
We have a special bible board game that we played when my daughter was around five years old. She is 17 now. My mother was living with us at the time and she would play too. My daughter would help my mother read the cards that was used during the game. After my mother passed away, we packed it up. We just uncovered it while we were cleaning. My daughter wants to start playing again.
Yes, we have Family Game Night on Wed nights, we have a shared Movie Night on Saturdays, and we have a Family outing once a month. I love the look of this game – thank you for the chance to win one 🙂
We don’t have a regular family game night, but I’d like to start.
looks awesome.
We do not have Family Game Nights, but I would like to start having them.
We are always wishing we had a weekly family game/fun night but have not managed to enjoy them.
Would love to…but, sadly no, it is not very regular yet.
Not on a regular basis but often. We try at least once a week but if we eat dinner and clean up we will play at least 3 times a weeks. Right now the favorite for my 7-15yo’s is Phase 10. The 5 yo loves Uno, and the 2yo just wants you to sit beside her and dress felt bears with her.
We try to have a game night, but it changes with my work schedule…
We try to have family night at least once every 2 weeks.
Definitely more family game nights in the winter than in summer! Our girls love Spot It, UNO, and wordXchange jr.
Would love this for family night!
I can’t figure out how to pin this, lol.
We don’t have a specific one because of our schedule, but tend to have them as often as I can. I would love to win this, it looks like a blast!
Not as often as I would like. We play a card game called hand and foot. I like it because you don’t play off each other so its easier to help the younger ones learn to play. It helps with learning their numbers, counting and adding. One more deck of cards than the number of people playing.
Unofrtunately we do not. sure would love to though
We try to have family game night in the winter time.
Our family loves family night, we used to be better at it. We definitely need to get back to it and new games will help us to do that. With Christmas coming there should be some new games coming too.
We try to have family nights as often as our busy lives allow. Our favorite family game is Pictionary.
No, but I would like too…this game might would help.
We love SCRABBLE and regular Monopoly so far and will do more as my kids get into reading age! Would love this game!
We do not have a family game night regularly but we want to start now that our kids are getting older!
This game would be a wonderfull addition to our game night!!
This game would be a wonderfull addition to our game night!! My kids would love it!
I have heard about this game, it sounds like it would be fun. I have been trying to start a family game night, it is a little hard with our kids ranging from 18 years old to 9 months, but IT really want it to work out.
Not regularly…my husband is not a game guy…so we try to play games for school
the only family night we have is Saturday night movie night. Would be fun to have a game night.
We try to but sometimes it just doesn’t happen!
Every Friday night!!!
We love to play Blokus with the older kids and Hot Potato with the little ones.
We have a family night on Friday or Saturday evenings.
Not as often as we would like to have them.
We plan on having a family game night New Years Eve night as we ring in the new year!
