My children think playdough mats are the coolest! I love to create them, too.
It’s apple season, so I thought it would be super FUN for the Princess to practice her number recognition and counting with these apple playdough mats.
And of course, we had to make homemade apple pie playdough to go along with these apple playdough mats.
The apple pie playdough smells absolutely wonderful. My daughter learned quickly that it was not edible.
How to Make Apple Pie Playdough
Ingredients
- 1 c flour
- 1/2 c of salt
- 2T of Cream of Tartar
- 2T of Canola Oil
- 3/4 c of water
- 3 T of Apple Scented Shampoo (I used Suave)
- 2-3 T of cinnamon
- Tons of red food coloring until you get it the color you want
Place flour, salt, cream of tartar in medium saucepan. Cook and stir on medium heat. Add the remaining ingredients and stir until the mixture is a gel liked ball. Place dough on wax paper and let it cool. Knead until the playdough is to the desire consistency.
I love making homemade playdough because it less expensive and it last a very long time as long as you store it in a closed ziplock bag.
The Apple Math Playdough mats cover the numbers 1-20. I printed out the mats on cardstock and laminated them. I was able to laminate 2 together to use less laminating sheets. I purposely didn’t put the mats in any sort of order.
I created these apple playdough mats for my email subscriber. Fill out in the form below and you will receive the PDF instantly via email.
I hope your kiddos enjoy these apple playdough mats as much as mine do!
