Since we were traveling on Mother’s Day, I was able to pick out my own presents last weekend.  Guess what  I got?  Of course, you knew it would be something to read or stimulate my curious mind.  LOL!

First, I got Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon.  I love this book!  I have learned so much in improving my families health in such a short time/  There is some scary truth that we all need to be well aware of in regards to the foods we commonly eat every day.  My dh was more than happy to purchase this book for me.  He has wanted to improve our eating habits since he was diagnosed with diabetes 4 years ago.  I am slowly making changes.  But, I can not let him read it because he would go off the deep end knowing all the negatives to processed foods, sugar, white flour and  basically  everything that we had in our pantry.  But, I realize I must treat my body as a temple.  Also, I must gear my family in better nourishment in order for  us to be healthy and equipped to  His work.  So, this eating change isn’t just about me.  This book has a gazillion of recipes and ideas to get you started eating the way God intended us to nourish our bodies.

Second, I went to the Health Store and picked up The Makers Diet I have only read the first chapter, but it is truly amazing this author is here to tell his story. I can’t wait to indulge in this life changing book.

Third, I wanted another crochet square book.  It is filled with 99 square patterns.  Fun, Fun, Fun!  Too bad I don’t know how to do half the stitches, but I’m learning with time.

So, I have lots of things to keep me busy this summer.  We only have 3 more days ~ YIPPPEEE!
