Is it one of your top priorities as a mother to train your children to eat healthy?
Being a homeschool mother, I have the advantage of dining with my children 3 times a day and assuring what goes in their little tummies.
I was excited to be asked to review the dvd, Copy-Kids. Copy-Kids is part of a fun DVD series produced for children ages 6 months through 5 years of age. The goal of the DVD is to encourage children to eat healthy while watching and copying other children their own age eat a variety of fruits and vegetables. It’s a bit silly, too.
Copy-Kids DVD is divided into 12 chapters, each focusing on a different fruit or vegetable. The yummy veggies and fruits include: Bell Peppers, Cucumbers, Carrots, Avocado, Tomatoes, Broccoli, Oranges, Bananas, Raspberries, Strawberries, Apples & Blueberries.
I popped in the Copy-Kids DVD right before lunch time. Definitely a wise decision on my part! My younger children ages 2, 5, and 7 watched the DVD while coloring. They giggled the entire time. However, I recommend having the children play quietly or color while watching this DVD since it’s a bit monetary. I don’t mean that in a negative way, it’s just one of those DVD’s that can be effective while they are playing in the background.
I have to admit, I was craving an avocado and a bell pepper before the DVD was over. My children were each wanting their own preference, as well. And of course, I did not have all their requests on hand. So, be prepared to have at least several of the fruits and vegetables that are introduced in the DVD at home before engaging in this unique DVD.
My favorite part of the DVD was that most of the vegetables that the children were eating were raw. We eat a lot of raw veggies at our house, so this was an encouragement to us.
We had lunch right after the Copy-Kids DVD was over and all three of them wanted raw veggies. They enjoyed carrots, spinach, and tomatoes. We usually have a fruit for lunch, too.

On special occasions, I allow my children to watch moves before going to bed. Guess what DVD was requested? They love to watch Copy-Kids over and over again while coloring or playing quietly. It’s perfect for snack time while munching on veggies or fruit.

Sounds brilliant! – we’d love to win this. Mushrooms are a no-no for my 2.
We have a super picky eater at our house (who also has food allergies). He won’t try avocado, but I bet he’d love them!
what a great idea! i’ve never heard of that dvd, but it sounds great!

My child will not even try vegetables. I’m lucky he will eat a few fruits, but it’s a daily struggle to get him to try new foods. Maybe this video would help.
My 6 year old refuses to eat any vegetable when we are at home. If he is with his cousins at his grandparent’s house, he will eat a carrot or cucumber, but he has to see them eating. Otherwise, he won’t eat them at all. 🙂
Sounds awesome!!! My son won’t touch any veggies 🙁
My children are so much older so I had never heard of this video. What a great way to encourage veggies. Thank you for sharing the giveaway and review at WJIM.
