These chocolate oatmeal cookies are seriously the bomb! You can’t eat just one. At least no one around here can.
We love anything oatmeal around here. Since becoming a single mom, I like to be able to make cookies and freeze a batch on the weekends for the following week. This works perfectly for us. I usually double the recipe and freeze one of them.
How to Make Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 c of sugar
- 1 c of butter, melted
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 c of water
- 1 t of vanilla
- 1 1/4 c of flour
- 1/3 c of cocoa
- 1/2 t of baking soda
- 3 c of oats, quick-cooking
- 1 cup of chocolate chips
Directions
Mix sugar, butter,egg, water, and vanilla in a large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients. Preheat oven to 350°. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 minutes. Let cool on cooling rack.
Makes 5-6 dozens
