I admit one of my concerns when becoming a single mom was figuring out who to call if and when one of my major appliances failed on me. My ex-husband used to take care of any maintenance repairs we needed.
There is nothing worse than having one of your major appliances go out, and you need it fixed yesterday.
Been there, done that before.
I had the privilege of working with Sears Home Services this last week with their Sear’s maintenance plan. I met with 5 different home service experts to inspect five of my major appliances in my home. Each was unaware that I was reviewing their service.
It was a wonderful experience, to say the least. Each Sears Home Service technician was very polite, honest, and knowledgeable. Typically, Sears technicians master one major appliance and can fix it in a jiff.
The technician who came to inspect my washer and dryer easily discovered the issue with my faulty spin cycle. He ordered me a new part and had it shipped to my house. He scheduled an appointment to come back and install the new part in my washer within the next few days. He was in and out in 5 minutes.
I got the raw end of the deal in my divorce in regards to the refrigerator. I ended up with a twenty year old white refrigerator that thankfully works just mighty fine. Yes, an eye sore, but it keeps my groceries cold. I can’t justify buying another one until it peters out on me. However, I suspected I needed a new seal. The technician checked it out and did some minor testing and concluded that it was just fine. I really appreciated his honesty. So he said his farewells and left to go to his next appointment.
What You Need To Know about Sears Maintenance Plan
The Sears maintenance plan will provide your major appliances with whatever TLC they need via an in-home technician. It requires a low $199 yearly fee, and you only have to pay for your parts, if needed. This is a perfect solution and maintenance plan for any single mom, busy families, or someone who just doesn’t know how to repair major appliances.
You simply call to make an appointment. The technician will call you to confirm your appointment, and you just need to be present when they arrive at your home. They are very accommodating to your schedule, too.
Just knowing that I have a reliable source to call when my major appliances get sick is such a relief. Money is scarce, and I must make smart decisions at all time to take care of my family’s needs.
Thank you, Sears, for your honest and loyal Sears maintenance plan. It puts my life at ease.
